This morning, when I tried to sign into Facebook, I was shocked to discover that the cover of my book Dating My Vibrator (and other true fiction) had been banned. Strange since the cover has been on Facebook for the past six months. I think this came about because I posted on Amazon's Kindle page yesterday--someone must have complained. But, truly, I don't think the cover violates the guidelines.
Here are the Facebook Guidelines:
What kinds of photos does Facebook remove?
Photos are removed if they contain nudity, drug use or other obscene content. If the photo attacks another individual or group, it will be removed as well.
My cover contains no nudity, no drug use, and no obscene content--unless you consider a cylinder dressed in a tuxedo obscene. And it certainly attacks no other people.
Apparently, Facebook also bans breastfeeding mothers, works of great art--including the Madonna and child--but allows child porn sites and worse.
And why is violence, death and blood more acceptable than the suggestion of sex?

Spot on Suzanne - I couldn't agree more. I think it is silly and outrageous. There is absolutely nothing obscene about the cover.
Seize the moment and share this preposterous move by Facebook with the world.
