Ghost Plane on Pixel of Ink -- promotion makes a difference

About two months ago I made my short collection of creepy short stories FREE on Barnes & Nobel and Smashwords, but it took another month for the book to go free on Amazon. You may wonder why I wanted the collection to be free--after all, I make no money. I wanted to get my name out, and I hoped to garner some new readers before I release my new novel, Agathon's Daughter, Book One: Hetaera.

When the book went free on Amazon "sales" shot it to #112 free in Kindle. I'd hoped to see it get into the top #100, but that didn't happen until Pixel of Ink promoted the book a few days ago. After a month of being free and lingering in the top #500 Pixel of Ink shot the book up to #72 free in Kindle. It's been there for a few days now, and somehow last night it made it to #1 in short stories. This is a thank you to Pixel of Ink and other great blogs that promote books. Promotion on a great blog can make all the difference in sales.

Thank you so much!
